AppStream - Exporting to Quickbooks
This is a guide for exporting invoices from SBMS to Quickbooks using AppStream. When exporting invoices it is important to set the correct out path found under Default Settings. This guide will explain the workflow from exporting the invoices to your Home Folder in AppStream, then downloading them locally to be importing into Quickbooks.
Setting the Home Folder as the Out File Path:
1. In SBMS, go to Tools, and then Default Settings.
2. Under the General tab, the Out File Path should be set to D:\username\My Files\Home Folder.
*The username will be your Strata username*
3. If the Out File Path is not set correctly, select the lightning bolt icon on the right.
4. The Browse For Folder window should open. Scroll down until you find This PC > Home Folder.
5. Select Home Folder and hit OK.
6. The correct Out File Path will be set to D:\username\My Files\Home Folder.
Exporting from Invoice Status screen:
1. Search for the estimate, check all the boxes for the matched invoices.
2. Select Clear for Payment.
3. The Export Invoices to Quickbooks Pro for Billing window will appear. Confirm everything on the screen is correct and select OK.
3. Click on the My Files icon on the toolbar at the top, and select the Home Folder.
4. The IIF file will be available to download locally. To download, select the file(s) by checking the box on the left, and then go to the Actions menu and choose Download.
5. After the file(s) have been downloaded to your local machine, transfer into QuickBooks.
6. In Quickbooks, the file path will need to be changed to your local downloads folder where the IIF file(s) are. Go to This PC, Local Disk C, Users, your username, and Downloads. The IIF file(s) should be available to import.
