General Cable and Data Information

General Cable Information
Cable entities are called NETWORKS, not stations.
Cable Networks can be sold together and are known as “Roadblocks.” Commercials are usually scheduled to air at
about the same time on all networks. It is similar to selling COMBOS in radio.

Interconnects: They sell different cable companies in the same market (like local rep firms).

The complete FreeWheel Cable software system includes the following:
  • VIEW for Cable
  • Cable Inventory
  • TIM
  • Post It
  • Cable Zones Maintenance
  • Q-VIEW/CableQual
  • VIEW Reports
  • Program Viewer for Tribune data

Potential Cuts of Data Ordered: (some reports may be proprietary, i.e. only available to the original subscribing cable system)
  • DMA (all households in the DMA including satellites households)
  • C-DMA (cable households within the DMA)
  • SYS (any other Geography by county, system, etc.)
