Comscore TV Pulse Data
Strata supports Comscore TV Pulse (preliminary) local data in the weekly distributed Comscore survey file. This dataset gives clients an estimate of audience measurement before final data is released.
To simplify data use and delivery, both preliminary and final feeds are delivered in 1 survey file. The distributed survey files will initially include a completed week of Pulse data for a given month. The weekly release cadence is now based on a complete week of Pulse data (Week 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5).
Once final data is coming in for that month it replaces the Pulse data for those dates.
Any month that does not have a complete set of Final data will include a mix of Pulse and Final data at some point (generally in Week 2, 3, 4 or 5). When a month has a complete set of Final data, then the last full month survey is released.
Comscore National Pulse data is not supported at this time.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Why is Comscore releasing Pulse TV data?
- Pulse data is preliminary data that is released before final data. This allows clients to review the preliminary estimates earlier.
How do I know how much Pulse Data and/or Final Data currently available in View?
- The FTP contains a text file named "COMSCORE_SURVEY_INFO" for each survey month.
- The file provides "FinalDates" and "PulseDates" describing available date ranges for each type of data.
- If no data is available for a type "Null" will display instead of a date range.
- The file is updated after each release of data.
- Instructions to access the FTP are found in Support Portal article How to Connect to FTP via PC and Mac
I don't know my FTP credentials. Where do I get them?
- Submit a support ticket to the Freewheel Client Service via https://freewheel.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new. Credentials will be provided to authorized users.
Are there any estimated released dates?
- Pulse surveys are generally released every Thursday. A complete survey month of Final data is released 12-14 days after the Pulse full month survey is released (e.g. Pulse Oct23 Week 1-5 delivered 10/30/23 and Final Oct23 Week 1-5 delivered 11/13/23).
Can my agency have historical Comscore Pulse TV data installed/restored?
- No. If a complete final survey book for a month is released, then only that survey book can be installed.
