Nielsen Audio Subscriber First Update
Nielsen is removing non-subscribing stations from the local data starting with January 2021. The data will continue to be available and all functionality will continue to exist; however, not all stations in a market will be available in the survey data.
- Unrated combos will have to be created in VIEW for any station that is not available in the survey data. It is important to use the exact name when creating the unrated combos so that the names continue to match with the information in SBMS. To re-use the unrated combos on future surveys, they should be saved using the ‘List Name’ feature in VIEW. The unrated combos saved under a ‘List Name’ are saved and created by Market. It is suggested to name the ‘List Name’ using the corresponding Market Name.

- To post in SBMS using Unrated Combos, Use Estimated Ratings for Unrated Stations, should be checked in Posting Defaults. When this option is checked, the actual ratings and impressions assigned to the scheduled spots and matched invoiced spots will be set to the estimated rating for the matching scheduled spot.
